Senior AI Engineer
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design and build the AI workflow systems we deploy for EPC and engineering clients. You will work on real production systems — document intelligence, reporting automation, vendor communication bots, and project coordination tools — not research prototypes.

About the role
Kresto Consulting builds practical AI systems for EPC, infrastructure, and engineering companies. We do not do research or proofs of concept — we build production systems that replace manual workflows and deliver measurable results within weeks of engagement start.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical design and delivery of AI solutions across our client portfolio. You will work closely with the Business Analyst team to understand requirements and with the founder to ensure solutions are commercially sound and deployable within client constraints.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You will write production code, integrate with client systems, and own the quality of what we ship. Fluent English is mandatory. Candidates from all countries are welcome to apply.
What you will do
- Design and build AI workflow systems for EPC and engineering clients (document extraction, reporting automation, communication bots, coordination tools)
- Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source) into production business workflows
- Build and maintain data pipelines that connect client systems (ERP, document stores, email) to AI layers
- Write clean, production-grade Python or TypeScript code with proper error handling and logging
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate workflow requirements into technical specifications
- Deploy and monitor AI systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering standards across the team
- Document system architecture and produce handover materials for client IT teams
What we are looking for
- 4–7 years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML or LLM-based systems
- Strong proficiency in Python; TypeScript/Node.js is a significant advantage
- Hands-on experience building production systems with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
- Experience with document processing, OCR, or unstructured data extraction
- Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and vector databases
- Experience with REST API design and integration with third-party enterprise systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (fluent — non-negotiable)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously
Nice to have
- —Experience in the EPC, construction, infrastructure, or engineering industry
- —Familiarity with engineering document types (P&IDs, RFIs, submittals, daily reports)
- —Experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier) alongside custom code
- —Prior consulting or professional services delivery experience
- —Experience with fine-tuning or prompt engineering at scale
